IIT BHU Non Teaching Recruitment 2026 – Apply Online for Various Posts

Indian Institute of Technology (BHU), Varanasi has released Advertisement No. 03/2026-27 for recruitment to various Non-Teaching posts under Administrative, Technical, Library, Engineering and Rajbhasha cadres. The recruitment includes Junior Superintendent, Junior Technician, Junior Library Assistant, Assistant Engineer, Junior Engineer and Junior Translation Officer posts.

Eligible Indian citizens can apply online through the IIT BHU SAMARTH Portal from 25 August 2026 to 24 September 2026 up to 05:00 PM. After online submission, candidates must also send the printout of the application along with supporting documents by Speed Post as prescribed in the notification.

1. Junior Superintendent – 21 Posts

Qualification: Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline with at least 55% marks, along with either 3 years of relevant experience in Level 5 or equivalent, or 8 years of relevant experience in Level 3 or above in the specified government/autonomous/PSU/research organizations. Computer proficiency in applications such as MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint is mandatory.

2. Junior Technician Group-I – 04 Posts

Branches: Chemistry / Physics

Qualification: Bachelor’s Degree in Science with Chemistry or Physics as one of the subjects, with at least 55% marks. Computer application proficiency is also required.

3. Junior Technician Group-II – 11 Posts

Branches: Mechanical, Metallurgical, Ceramic, Materials Science

Qualification: Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering/equivalent in the relevant branch with 55% marks, OR three-year Diploma in the relevant engineering discipline after 10+2 with 55% marks plus one year relevant experience.

4. Junior Technician Group-III – 03 Posts

Branches: Electrical / Electronics

Qualification: Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering/equivalent in Electrical/Electronics with 55% marks, OR three-year Diploma in Electrical/Electronics with 55% marks plus one year relevant experience.

5. Junior Technician Group-IV – 04 Posts

Branches: Civil; Architecture, Planning & Design; Mining

Qualification: Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering/equivalent in Civil/Mining or B.Arch. with 55% marks, OR three-year Diploma in Civil/Mining with 55% marks plus one year relevant experience.

6. Junior Technician Group-V – 04 Posts

Branches: Computer Science & Engineering / CCIS

Qualification: Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering/equivalent in Computer Science/Information Technology with 55% marks, OR three-year Diploma in Computer Science/Information Technology with 55% marks plus one year relevant experience.

7. Junior Library Assistant – 02 Posts

Qualification: Bachelor’s Degree in Library & Information Science with 55% marks, OR Diploma in Library & Information Science with 55% marks along with Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline, OR two-year M.Lib. & Information Science integrated degree with 55% marks.

8. Assistant Engineer – 02 Posts

Qualification: Bachelor’s Degree/Diploma in Civil or Electrical Engineering with relevant post-qualification experience. Bachelor’s Degree holders require at least 5 years relevant experience, while Diploma holders require at least 8 years relevant experience at Level 6 or above.

9. Junior Engineer – 03 Posts

Qualification: B.E./B.Tech. in Civil with at least 55% marks and minimum 2 years post-qualification relevant experience, OR three-year Diploma in Civil Engineering with 55% marks and minimum 3 years relevant experience.

10. Junior Translation Officer – 01 Post

Qualification: Bachelor’s Degree in Hindi with 3 years of relevant translation experience involving English-to-Hindi and Hindi-to-English translation work. Desirable qualifications include a recognized translation diploma/certificate, knowledge of Hindi application software and experience in technical/scientific translation.
