The vacancies are distributed among UT Cadre, Divisional Cadres and District Cadres.
Eligible candidates who are domiciles of the Union Territory of Jammu & Kashmir can apply online for these posts. The online application process will begin on 05 October 2026, while the last date for submission of the online application form is 03 November 2026.

JKSSB Class-IV Recruitment 2026 Qualification
Class-IV (MTS)
Candidates applying for Class-IV (MTS) posts must have:
- Minimum Qualification: Matriculation
- Maximum Qualification: 10+2
Thus, candidates must be at least 10th pass, while candidates possessing qualification higher than 10+2 are not eligible for Class-IV posts under the prescribed rules.
Sanitation Worker
For Sanitation Worker posts:
- Minimum Qualification: 8th Pass
- Maximum Qualification: 10+2
Candidates possessing qualification above the prescribed maximum qualification are not eligible for these posts.
Pay Scale
The prescribed pay scale for Class-IV (MTS) / Sanitation Worker posts is:
SL-1: ₹14,800 – ₹47,100/-.

For OM candidates, the candidate should not have been born before 01 January 1986 and after 01 January 2008. For SC/ST/RBA/ALC-IB/EWS/OBC candidates, the upper age is 43 years, subject to the dates prescribed in the notification.
Eligible Ex-Servicemen candidates can receive the age benefit specified under the applicable rules. A five-year upper-age relaxation is also provided to eligible casual workers claiming additional weightage under the J&K Class-IV Special Recruitment Rules.
JKSSB Recruitment 2026 Domicile
Candidates applying for the advertised posts must be domiciles of the Union Territory of Jammu & Kashmir and must possess a valid Domicile Certificate issued by the competent authority on or before the closing date of the application, i.e. 03 November 2026.
