AAI Northern Region Apprentice Recruitment 2026: Airports Authority of India (AAI), Regional Headquarters Northern Region, New Delhi has released the notification for engagement of Graduate, Diploma and ITI Apprentices for the apprenticeship training year 2026-27. The recruitment is being conducted under the Apprentices Act, 1961 for a total of 205 Apprentice seats at various airports and establishments under the Northern Region. Eligible candidates can apply through the NATS/NAPS apprenticeship portals.

Candidates who are domiciles of Chandigarh, Delhi, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu & Kashmir, Leh Ladakh, Madhya Pradesh, Punjab, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand can apply. The apprenticeship training will be for 12 months and selected candidates will receive a monthly stipend as prescribed for their category. The last date to submit the online application is 16 September 2026.

AAI Northern Region Apprentice Vacancies & Qualification

Educational Qualification

Graduate/Degree Apprentice: Candidates must possess a full-time regular four-year degree in the relevant engineering/discipline mentioned in the notification, from an institution recognized by AICTE/Government of India.

Diploma/Technician Apprentice: Candidates must possess a three-year regular Diploma in Engineering in the relevant discipline from an AICTE/Government of India recognized institution.

ITI Trade Apprentice: Candidates must possess an ITI/NCVT certificate in the relevant trade from a recognized institution.

AAI Northern Region Apprentice Salary / Stipend

The Graduate Apprentice stipend is ₹15,000 per month, Diploma/Technician Apprentice stipend is ₹12,000 per month, and ITI Trade Apprentice stipend is ₹9,600 per month.

AAI Northern Region Apprentice Age Limit

The minimum age of the candidate should be 18 years and the maximum age should be 26 years as on 16 September 2026. Relaxation in the upper age limit for SC, ST, OBC, PwBD and other eligible categories will be applicable as per Government of India guidelines.

AAI Northern Region Apprentice Eligibility

• Only Indian Nationals are eligible.
• Candidates must be domiciles of Chandigarh, Delhi, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu & Kashmir, Leh Ladakh, Madhya Pradesh, Punjab, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh or Uttarakhand.
• Candidates who passed their qualifying degree/diploma in 2024 or after are eligible.
• Candidates who have already completed an apprenticeship are not eligible.
• Candidates having apprenticeship training/job experience of one year or more after acquiring the essential qualification are not eligible.
• Candidates applying for more than one discipline will have their application rejected.

AAI Northern Region Apprentice Selection Process

The provisional selection of candidates will be made on the basis of the percentage of marks obtained in the qualifying examination. In case candidates have equal marks, date of birth and thereafter the date of passing will be considered for determining seniority.

Shortlisted candidates will be called for document verification/interview through their registered email IDs. Final selection will be subject to verification of original certificates and submission of a Medical Fitness Certificate at the time of joining. Selected candidates will subsequently receive the apprenticeship engagement letter.

Eligible candidates must first register themselves on the appropriate apprenticeship portal. Graduate and Diploma Apprentices should register/apply through the NATS portal, while ITI Trade Apprentices should register/apply through the NAPS/Apprenticeship India portal.

After registration and completion of the profile, candidates should search for Airports Authority of India – RHQ NR, New Delhi using the establishment details provided in the notification and select the relevant apprenticeship opportunity. Candidates must apply for only one discipline. After successful submission, the portal will display the application confirmation message. Only applications submitted online through the NATS/NAPS portals will be considered.
