GATE 2027 Notification: The Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) 2027 notification has been officially released. This year, IIT Madras is the Organizing Institute for GATE 2027. The examination will be conducted in Computer Based Test (CBT) mode for admission to M.E./M.Tech., Ph.D. programmes in IITs, NITs, IIITs, IISc and other premier institutes. GATE scores are also accepted by several Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs) for recruitment.
The online application process will begin on 14 August 2026, and eligible candidates can submit their applications through the GOAPS portal. Candidates studying in the third year or above of eligible undergraduate programmes or those who have already completed a qualifying degree can apply. The GATE 2027 examination will be held on 6, 7, 13, 14, 20 & 21 February 2027.
