Punjab SSSB Recruitment 2026: Notification Out for 70 Group-C Posts, Apply Online

Subordinate Services Selection Board, Punjab (SSSB Punjab) has released Advertisement No. 12 of 2026 for recruitment to 70 Group-C posts in various Punjab Government departments. The recruitment includes posts such as Driver, Clerk (Legal), Clerk (Accounts), Clerk (IT), Translator and Field Artist. Vacancy Details

A total of 70 vacancies have been notified under Advertisement No. 12 of 2026.

Educational Qualification

Driver

• Matriculation pass.
• Valid driving licence for light and heavy vehicles.
• Minimum 3 years driving experience.

Clerk (Legal)

• Law Graduate from a recognized university/institution.
• Must qualify the competitive test.
• Must qualify Punjabi and English typing test at 30 words per minute or the speed prescribed by the Punjab Government.

Clerk (IT)

Depending upon the department, candidates are required to possess relevant qualifications such as BCA, Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering/Technology or equivalent qualifications. The detailed qualification varies by department and should be checked against the concerned post in the notification.

Translator

• Graduation from a recognized university/institution.
• 120-hour computer/IT course with practical experience from a recognized/reputed institution, or equivalent ‘O’ Level computer qualification.

Field Artist

Graduate in Music, Drama or Dance from a recognized university.

Age Limit

The age will be calculated as on 01 January 2026.

• Minimum Age: 18 Years
• General Category: Maximum 37 Years
• Punjab SC/BC residents: Maximum 42 Years
• State/Central Government Employees: Maximum 45 Years
• Punjab PwD candidates: Maximum 47 Years
• Widows, divorcees and certain other eligible married women: relaxation up to 40 Years
• Ex-servicemen: As per applicable Punjab Ex-Servicemen Rules.

PSSSB Recruitment 2026 Salary

The notified pay scales include:

• Driver: ₹21,700–₹69,100, Level 3
• Most Clerk posts: ₹19,900, Level 2/Level 5 as specified
• Field Artist: ₹25,500, Level 4
• Translator: ₹19,900, Level 2

The applicable pay scale depends upon the particular department and post.
