The Delhi Subordinate Services Selection Board (DSSSB) has released Advertisement No. 06/2026 for the recruitment of Junior Engineer (Electric/Electrical) and Multi-Tasking Staff (MTS) posts in various departments of the Government of NCT of Delhi and other autonomous/local bodies.

Through this recruitment drive, DSSSB aims to fill 1,260 vacancies, including 185 Junior Engineer posts and 1,075 Multi-Tasking Staff posts. The vacancies include MTS General Duty, MTS Aaya (Female), and other MTS positions.

DSSSB Recruitment 2026 Age Limit

The age criteria vary according to the post and concerned department.

Age Relaxation

Age relaxation will be provided according to the applicable Government of India and Delhi Government rules.

• SC/ST: As per applicable government rules.
• OBC: As per applicable government rules.
• PwBD: As per applicable government rules.
• Ex-Servicemen: As per applicable government rules.
• Government/departmental employees: Additional relaxation wherever prescribed.
• Contractual employees of the same department may receive upper-age relaxation up to five years, subject to the conditions mentioned in the notification.

DSSSB Recruitment 2026 Selection Process

The selection procedure will be conducted through computer-based examinations. The examination scheme differs for Junior Engineer and MTS posts.

1. Junior Engineer Selection Process

Junior Engineer recruitment will be conducted through a Two-Tier Technical Examination.

Tier-I Examination:

• Section A: General Awareness, General Intelligence & Reasoning, Arithmetical & Numerical Ability, Hindi Language and English Language.
• Section B: Subject-specific technical questions.

Tier-II Examination:

• Part I: 100 questions carrying 100 marks.
• Part II: 50 questions carrying 100 marks.

Tier-I is qualifying in nature and will be used for shortlisting candidates for Tier-II. Final merit will be prepared using the combined marks of Tier-II.

2. MTS Selection Process

MTS recruitment will be conducted through a One-Tier General Examination.

The examination will cover:

1. General Awareness – 40 Marks.
2. General Intelligence & Reasoning Ability – 40 Marks.
3. Arithmetical & Numerical Ability – 40 Marks.
4. Hindi Language & Comprehension – 40 Marks.
5. English Language & Comprehension – 40 Marks.

Final merit will be prepared based on the marks obtained in the examination, subject to the prescribed qualifying criteria.

Minimum Qualifying Marks

Negative Marking:

• 0.25 marks will be deducted for each incorrect one-mark question.
• 0.50 marks will be deducted for each incorrect two-mark question.
